My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

For those who do not remember the program in the 1970's,  it was a colourful, entertaining Olympic-style games with oversized costumes, props and water... sometimes lots of water and foam!

Games usually involved collecting water over an obstacle course or dressing up in huge costumes, walking across slippery poles suspended over a swimming pool.  Other teams would hinder those taking part - hilarious mayhem usually resulted - mostly Stuart Hall's laughter was entertaining in itself!

The reason we're doing all this, getting soaking wet and covered in foam, is to raise funds for the Island's Earl Mountbatten Hospice who provide care for people with life-shortening illnesses, their families and carers.

The Earl Mountbatten Hospice is an independent hospice and receives a grant which covers about a third of the running costs.  For the remaining £2.2 million, the Hospice is dependent on the public's generosity - so please dig as deep as you can during this credit crunch to help support this excellent work.  Don't forget to gift-aid to increase your donation even further.

Thanks for your support,

Karen & Paul X
