<p><span style="font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black; font-size: 11.5pt;">You may not know that the 2nd April 2012 is World Autism Awareness Day, and you may also not know that over 500,000 people in the UK suffer from Autism.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black; font-size: 11.5pt;">Autism is a serious, lifelong and disabling condition. Without the right support, it can have a profound - sometimes devastating - effect on individuals and their families. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black; font-size: 11.5pt;">I am running the Chester Half Marathon on the 13th May 2012 to raise money for the Wirral Autistic Society’s Children's Services team who work with local children to form relationships, to communicate and to understand the world around them. If I can raise £500 the society will be able to buy a new widescreen TV and Xbox for their centre. (Things we take for granted that would really improve their lives!!!)</span></p>
