The Steve Prescott Foundation was set up by a totally inspirational man Steve Prescott MBE. In 2006 he was diagnosed with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei a terminal cancer & sought out to raise funds for The Christie Hospital and the Rugby League Benevolent Fund. The SPF changes the lives of so many people.

Story

Thankyou so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Steve Prescott Foundation was set up in 2007 by the late, great Steve Prescott MBE.  A rugby league legend who fought gallantly from 2007 against a rare form of stomach cancer. Steve was a true inspiration in the final years of his life continually setting himself new challenges and goals, despite his illness, helping raise nearly £500,000 for charity.

One of Steve's wishes was to climb Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Unfortunately Steve lost his brave battle on 9th November 2013 before he could fulfil this challenge.

It is our aim to climb and trek Kilimanjaro in Steve Prescott's name.

That challenge has now intensified as myself and my 35 fellow climbers are attempting to set a NEW GUINNESS WORLD RECORD for the highest ever Rugby match  80 intense high altitude minutes of full contact Rugby League  WOW!!!!!!!
