AFK is a disability and neurodiversity charity providing support to children and young people across the UK. We assist young people in accessing specialised mobility equipment that isn't available on the NHS and routes to paid employment in an effort to close the disability employment gap.

Story

Hi guys,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have taken the plunge and will be running the London Marathon on April 22nd 2012 and I would really appreciate your help in fundraising for a very worthy cause.

I am running for an amazing charity called Action For Kids (www.actionforkids.org + video of their work below). These are a truly remarkable group of kind hearted people who help young disabled children to improve their quality of life. They do this by providing life transforming mobility equipment which gives these kids back their independence and the gift of freedom. They also provide a much needed helpline to give emotional and practical support to their mums, dads and carers.

This quote from the mum of a young girl (pictured in my photo section) called Maleah really made me understand what good work that Action For Kids do:

"As a mother I want to say a special thank you. It was heartbreaking to see my little girl left out of playing with friends because she could not keep up, you have changed that ... from the bottom of my heart I thank you." - Maleah's Mum

I really believe in these inspiring, kind people, so please dig deep and donate now.

Thank you so much,

Paul

P.S. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
