Every year over 3000 children in South Yorkshire run from home.This is the equivalent of 44 full double decker buses.

Many of these children will end up sleeping rough on our street where there are many dangers. However many children believe sleeping rough is a safer option than their alternatives including going home.

Safe @ last is a local charity established 10 years ago and is very successful in caring for these young children aged 16 and under,.reducing a rerun rate from the previous 50+% to 5%. Safe @ Last has also established the second only secure refuge in England for children at most risk.

With your help we can ensure these children remain safe.

I participated in the BIG SLEEP OUT last year and raised over £1600, including the gift aid contribution.

On the 23rd October I will again be suffering a potentially cold, wet and uncomfortable night on the streets of Rotherham to highlight the important work of this charity. I will only have cardboard boxes for a bed and a sleeping bag for comfort.
