Thank you John, much appreciated, i'd book for mile 3.....

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As a dad to a beautiful little girl and as my job as a Paediatric Nurse I understand and appreciate how fragile life sometimes is, and that as parents and carers we only want the best for our kids for their lives.

As a Boro fan growing up in the 80's 'Coops' was the one I wanted to be, I played in the same position as him and tried to be the no nonsense defender he was too, unfortunately I was neither fit enough or good enough to follow his footsteps!! and eventually turned my focus to Childrens Nursing in 2005.

I began to learn about illnesses and tragic accidents like Finlays that change you as a person and as a human being and change your life forever. I've learned to appreciate what we have in this life, and I try to do my best to make peoples life that little bit easier when dealing with life changing scenarios.

Which leads me to this. I've wanted to find a charity to do things for, for a while and nothing has clicked so far, but The Finlay Cooper Fund fits perfectly. It has history for me with Finlays dad and my childhood, it supports charities for children which I meet in my career and it allows me to do something i'd never dream of doing in a million years, but i'm not doing it for me, i'm doing it for Finlay.

Give generously people. If you want to see me betroot red in September next year, unable to walk for the following week then back me with your pennies, give something to Finlay and the children that next that extra little bit of help, i'm sure we can all spare a little something....

Thanks for reading my little intro, We have under a year, but the more we give the better it will be for the future, and most importantly, Thank You in advance!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
