Balfour Beatty - Palace to Palace 2009 · 27 September 2009 ·

The Balfour Beatty Charitable Trust was formed for the Group's centenary year. It funds projects which raise the aspiration, motivation and quality of life amongst young people suffering from disadvantage.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page which has been set up for my participation in The Prince's Trust's Palace to Palace bike event on 27 September 2009.  This will involve me in cycling some 45 miles from The Mall past Buckingham Palace out to Eton, via Richmond Park, which is way beyond any distance I would normally contemplate!

To mark its centenary in 2009, Balfour Beatty has pledged to donate £200k as well as to match all funds raised by employees on behalf of its charitable trust which is supporting The Prince's Trust and Action for Children.  The aim will be to fund at least 100 community improvement projects which will raise the aspirations, motivation and quality of life amongst young people suffering from disadvantage.

I would be delighted if you felt able to support my efforts through sponsorship.  Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
