Well I made it, in a reasonable time (for me) of 1.58 and a few seconds. Looked like it was going to be a bit warm, but a cool breeze kept it comfortable. Well, not exactly comfortable, but better than it could have been. Anyway, thanks to all of you donating money - it did spur me on through some of the tough parts, and it has gone to a very deserving cause. Thanks again.

On September 6th, I'm going to be running the Bristol Half Marathon. Not being a natural athlete(!) this is hard work and has involved weeks of commitment and some pain.
But it's nothing compared to the physical and mental courage needed by people waiting and hoping for an organ transplant
Through my work I have come across the team at Live Life Then Give Life, a bunch of young people touched by the realities of waiting for an organ transplant. Instead of feeling sorry for themselves, they are helping others to deal with an intolerable and entirely avoidable situation, as well as encouraging others to sign onto the Organ Donor Register.
Running 13 miles is nothing compared to what they do every day - please help them to help others.
Thanks
Paul
