Paula "I'll have a go" Thompson and Elaine "Barmy Pot Noodle" Chung are raising money for Honeypot Charity by trekking along the Great Wall of China for six days in October 2011.
We're pretty sure we won't be able to walk the entire 4000 miles in just under a week, but it will be a challenge - very steep at times and in some places reduced to rubble - yikes!
Just take a look at some of the terrain the Wall covers - amazing and we can't wait……
The Great Wall of China stretches over 4000 miles from Shanhaiguan in the east of China to Lop Nur in the west. We'll be walking across several parts of the wall, being transported to different areas each day, so we'll get to see the 'touristy' part, some very remote sections and some very steep and tricky-to-walk-on sections!
The Great Wall of China is 25 feet tall in places, and its width ranges between 15 and 30 feet. That's pretty big - we're only little!
We are paying for the trip ourselves, so whatever you wish to donate will go direct to our chosen charity, "Honeypot".
