I'm doing the 2012 Firewalk mainly to raise funds for the Beatson Pebble Appeal in honour of the many people I have known who have suffered from cancer.  Not just the ones that have died but their families too.  In particular at this time I am doing this in honour of my dear friend Lesley who as I write this is watching over her husband in a hospice.

But I'm also doing this for me.  The last two years have been particularly stressful for me and I'm coming out the other side.  Now I want to physically walk through the fire and out the other end!!
