Hi, if you're visiting my page you might just be curious about what I'm up to this time, or you might be here because you are as keen to support Barnardos as much as I am. Well, I am back in training again and running (or very slow jog) in the Edinburgh half marathon in April, and this time I am planning on training properly for the event so I can at least walk the next day!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As a parent of two teenagers, I get to meet a lot of their freinds and hear about all sorts of things going on in their lives. Some are lucky to have the privilege of a loving, secure economically sound home, and access to a good education. Others dont have any of those things, and some have it all but for whatever reason struggle with making sense of their surroundings. Barnardos help and support children in need or in crisis through projects all over the UK. The irony is that during the current economic situation, charities like Barnardos are facing reduced incomes, but the need for its services is increasing; more and more young people are finding themselves living in poverty; in domestic violence situations; caring for alcohol or drug dependent parents, homeless or at risk of exploitation.
