Story
I agreed to run the Great South run as I had 2 major incentives:
1) to get fit again
2) to raise money for a fantastic charity
This Great South 10 mile run in Portsmouth will hopefully fulfil both my goals.
I chose to sponsor CamKids as it is a Children’s charity which puts all its finances and efforts into improving the lives of orphaned children who live in true poverty.
Every single penny raised will go directly to helping the children in various projects. None of the charity organisers are paid to run this charity; they are all professionals who are supplying their skills for free.
My girlfriend Carolyn is related to one of the founders, Dom Sharpe. He is passionate about this charity and his enthusiasm is infectious! The added bonus is that Al Murray, my comedy hero, is the patron of the charity!
