UK Ironman 2007 · 19 August 2007 ·

Our vision is that local patients with cancer and other life-limiting illness can choose how and where they want to be cared for towards the end of life. We provide 24/7 responsive Hospice at Home care; Day Hospice care and support for all the family during the illness and through bereavement.

Story

Over the past two years many of you have helped me raise money for Grove House where I now work.  Once again I want to as you for sponsorship and this time I want to attempt something that I feel is worthy of asking you for sponsorship on August 19th I will begin the UK Ironman competition at Sherborne.  This will consist of a 2.4 mile swim, followed by a 112 mile bike ride, and then finishing with a brisk 26 mile run (that'll be a marthon, then!).  I'm doing this for Grove House.  It's an amazing place, doing amazing things and I'm proud to work there and raise money for it. I do hope you don't mind helping me once again raise money for this special place - you'll be helping hundreds of people and their families with life threatening illnesses.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Grove House (St Albans And Dacorum Day Hospice) will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Please sponsor me if you can - I'll certainly deserve it after all these months of training!

Many thanks for your support.

Love

Paul
