Story

It was a simple idea: A bunch of bike riders from Berkhamsted, who happened to be fans of the Alford Arms, decided to organise a charity bike ride for The Iain Rennie Hospice at Home.

It Just so happens that the owners of the Alford Arms Pub have four other great pubs too, so what could be easier than riding round all of them!

And that's how Pedal of Honour was born. Just over forty five miles through the quietest roads we could find, starting out from the Alford Arms, stopping off at the Swan at Denham, then the Black Horse in Fulmer and on to the Old Queens Head in Penn before a grand finale at the Royal Oak, Marlow.

Marvelous idea!

Seems like quite a few people agreed so we set a date for the big ride:

Saturday May 21, 2011

And we gave everyone a target of raising a £100 for charity.

David and Becky didn't mind a bit that we wanted to visit their lovely pubs on our bikes and even offered to throw us a BBQ at the end!

So please dig deep and donate now. Thank you.

The Iain Rennie Hospice at Home is a registerd charity offering specialist and supportive care and advice for patients with cancer and other life limiting illnesses in their own homes. The service is available 365 days a year and offers patients and carers access to on-call specialist advice and nursing visits on a 24 hour on-call basis.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
