<p><span style="color: #339966; font-family: Tahoma; font-size: 13px;">As you may know I am heading out to Tanzania in Februaury to do some dental volunteer work with Bridge2Aid. We will be in a rural area treating the population and training a team of local people to safely extract teeth. When we leave at the end of the two weeks the local clinical officers will be equipt with a dental kit and sterilisation eqipment to continue treating the population. Many people in rural Tanzania suffer pain from untreated dental decay and absesses, people resort to witch doctor therapies and self extraction techniques. People die from septacemia from dental absesses that could have easily been treated. But there are no dentists living in the rural areas. </span></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 10.0px Helvetica;"><span style="font-family: Tahoma; font-size: 13px; color: #339966;">This model is a sustainable way to deliver aid. We are leaving behind the skills we have, passing them on to local people, not simply treating a finite number of patients and leaving. <br>I am grateful for your support of Bridge2Aid and my coming trip to Tanzania.</span></p>
