Story
On Friday the 13th July I'm going to be taking part in a 24 hour squashathon with a view to raising around £10,000 for Woking Hospice.
This will involve me playing squash for as long as physically possible – which in my case will be from about 7pm to midnight. I won’t be able to do the full 24 hours as I’ve prior engagements for the Saturday, but every little counts and I will aim to do an extra 20mins of squash after midnight for every £100 I raise from now on.
Woking Hospice was set up in 1996 and since then has benefitted more than 30,000 local people. All care and support provided by the Hospice is given to patients and extended to their families free of charge.
Around 3,000 people are cared for by the Hospice every year and it costs around £3million each year to do this, relying on gifts and donations from the local community.
