Story

This page is in memory of our beautiful Grandson Arthur who was born sleeping on 15th November. Words can’t express the devastation.

The midwives and bereavement team at Frimley Park were amazing and so supportive. The Rowan Suite at the hospital has been designed to provide a peaceful, calm environment where parents can grieve. The fact that there is a double bed for Mum and Dad and a cold cot where Arthur could stay with them made it slightly more bearable. The SANDS charity part fund the room, as well as providing memory boxes and bereavement councillors.

I want to help raise money  specifically for Frimley Park in Arthur’s memory by doing 12 half marathons in 12 months.

The money will be used for refurbishing the Rowan Suite which tragically  is used too frequently and is looking tired.

The statistic for stillbirth and neonatal death in the UK are shocking and new research has revealed that the UK has one of the highest stillbirth rates in the developed world. 17 babies are stillborn or die shortly after birth every day.
