Community Action Nepal (CAN) is a charity that aims to raise money for the people of Nepal, building shelters, medical centres, schools etc.  A big part of their work is to look after the porters who work on the Himalayas taking supplies up and down the mountain for trekkers, tourists and mountaineers.  These journeys can take weeks and are lonely with no medical help or safety equipment.  CAN aims to build rest shelters, provide  medical care and issue safety equipment.

I am running the london marathon this year and aim to raise money for the people of Nepal.  If you have ever visited Nepal, been on a trek and realised how much work the guides and porters do for you and would like to improve their quality of life or if you are just kind hearted then please sponsor me today on my Just Giving page.
