Thank you to all those of you who have donated to EBT to date as sponsorship for the Annapurna Circuit I completed this Easter.

I have had an amazing few weeks in Nepal (extended by an extra week or so courtesy of volcanic ash) and I feel very priviledged to have had the chance to take part in a trek in such beautiful surroundings as well as being able to see the work of EBT first hand.

I had the chance to visit the EBT refuge in Godavari, housing 120 children in total. The children are being well cared for, educated and being given a home - but more is still needed with the monsoon season about to start and the kitchen/eating area being under a tarpaulin until affordable accommodation can be found.

I was also able to visit the mosaic workshop at Godavari, now providing a living for six girls who previously lived in the refuge.

We were also able to visit EBT's newest venture - a creche set up in one of the brick kilns for children aged 2 to 4. This provides much needed care for children otherwise having to be with their parents working in a dusty clay environment.

The work the EBT staff and the volunteers is exceptional and has provided much inspiration to me to help and fundraise as much as I can for such a great cause.

The eleven day trek itself was a challenge, though immensely enjoyable and I have plans to go back and do more. The guidance of Sherpa Tenzing made sure that we all made in safely over the pass lead by the excellent doctor (and weather forecaster) - Ramesh. Each day I wished that I could bottle the feeling of happiness of being able to trek in the Annapurna's, such an amazing environment with a great team and all for such a worthwhile cause.

So please - if you haven't given yet, just a little bit will go such a long way to help these Nepali children...
