I have set this up so that if you are thinking (very kindly!) of giving me a birthday or Christmas present, you might consider giving a very small donation to one of the charities here.  This page is for Wallace Cancer Care, which provides a really, really useful service for cancer patients in the Cambridge area, and their families. It is very similar to the better-known Maggie Centres - it has a drop-in room in Addenbrookes Hospital, which is a place of refuge when you need help understanding what you have been told, or just need to escape from the clinic for a while.  It also has a beautiful and tranquil house and garden just a few minutes walk from the oncology clinic, where you can find peace and quiet, and a range of therapies and support groups. I help as a volunteer in their garden, doing battle with the ivy and the squirrels, to keep it tidy and not too "kempt"!
