At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

On 14th May a team of elite athletes (and/or slightly overweight, ageing actuaries) from the KPMG pensions team will be competing in a 100km race on indoor rowing machines. The team will consist of Aled Davies, Jeff Hunt, Paul Darlow, Mike Edwards and Ollie Gilmore.

Each team is limited to four people (one person acts as reserve), meaning that each of us will row 25km! For those of you who have tried to row just 2km before, you know what a challenge this is. To win, we will have to take it in turns to row in short sharp energetic bursts at close to 100% effort repeatedly throughout the day. The estimated time to complete this huge is between 7 and 10 hours!

We are doing this challenge to support Alzheimer's Society and defeat dementia - a devastating disease which robs people of their lives.

Please please give generously. We would all really appreciate your support and the extra motivation.
