What seems like an age ago I said "yes " to joining the three peaks challenge team. Little did i realise as I started to involve myself in this venture that I would be the oldest member of the team. Well all I can say is after doing a number of prep climbs which also included Simon and I doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks in under 12 hours, it is only 2 weeks away. 

This week I started British Military Fitness training to give myself a boost for the 3 peaks challenge! I've been 4 times and lost 10lbs....(Tracey said she would shout at me and make me run around the park for free!!!) 

All this effort is for a good cause and it really is - the charity we are doing the challenge for is South Liverpool Vineyard Church.

The Church provides both practical and financial help to local domestic abuse charities in the Liverpool area.

Often the women and their families are rehoused in pretty basic housing, which is generally not in the greatest condition. Some of the money raised will go to buying paint and materials to brighten up a few rooms and make their house feel more of a home. This is all done on a voluntary basis and your donations, however great or small, will make a difference and help continue the good work.

I promise to do my best on the challenge - the aim is 24hrs but inreality, with a team of 16 it is very unlikely but we will be aiming to complete it as fast as possible...I will keep you all posted:))))
