In June 2019, I will be joining a team of 60 RS Components superhero's who will be taking part in an epic charity cycle ride. The RS 'Tour De Branch' is an event in which teams from across RS will cover 1,100 miles from Aberdeen to London, via the 16 RS Local branches, and collectively we are trying to raise £250,000 for Children with Cancer.

As part of the team I will be attempting the longest cycle rides of my life; on Sunday 16th I will ride from Cardiff to Bristol (53 miles) and on Wednesday 19th I will attempt to ride from Heathrow to Watford (16 miles), Watford to Bermondsey (24 miles) before heading to the finish line at Pancreas Square (6 miles)!!!

It's quite a challenge but all in aid of a very special cause. Research into childhood cancer is a subject close to my heart having lost a brother at a young age.  As a parent I can't begin to comprehend the devastation families face when children are diagnosed with this horrible disease and as such I am delighted to support Children with Cancer UK.  CwC raise and invest money for vital specialist research to save the lives of every child with cancer and keep their family together. Their vision is a world where every child diagnosed with cancer gets to ring their end of cancer treatment bell.
