Cumbria Community Foundation helps to strengthen communities by using your money to support the work of making grants to local community projects and individuals in need.

Story

The 36-mile route of the Rivers Ride follows the course of the rivers and many of the bridges that were either destroyed or badly damaged during the floods of 2009. Starting and finishing in Keswick, the route goes via Ouse Bridge to Cockermouth before looping back through Braithwaite and Grange. Not satisfied with a generally undulating trip, it includes one killer mile-long climb of more than 200m! More information can be found at http://www.cumbriafoundation.org/jennings-rivers-ride

We are raising money for the charitable work of the Cumbria Community Foundation (CCF). CCF is at the heart of community life in Cumbria, making grants to local charities and people in need, including young people, old people and the disabled. CCF supports around 500 groups a year including Copeland Cancer Support Group, Cumbria Wheelchair Sports Club and Harbour Youth Project.
