Peter Beevers is raising money for Everyman Appeal

Everyman is an appeal run by The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR). Every year some 10,000 men lose their lives to prostate cancer and over 2,000 others have their world turned upside down by a diagnosis of testicular cancer. These men are the reason we are fundraising for male specific cancers.

Story

I opened the Swanley New Barn Railway on Friday 1st January 2010 to raise money for, and raise awareness of, the Everyman Campaign. We ran steam trains only (no smelly diesels!!), and I drove my loco all day (that's her in the photo on the left). What else is there to do on New Years Day? To those of you that came along and supported us, and those who have donated via this webpage: many thanks.

This page will remain open for a couple of months into 2010 just in case anyone else feels generous: and, if you do, thanks to you too!!

And yes, we will be doing it again in 2011.
