I am rowing (as part of an eight) more than 40 miles, over one day (22nd Sep) which will probably take 12 hours at least..........from Radley, near Oxford to Henley. Gulp!

It is part of the Hampton School & LEH sponsored row, joining the senior squads and some fellow parents.  The parent's boats will be rowed by, in the main, complete novices, such as myself, who up until a few weeks ago had never sat in a rowing boat.  

We're aiming to raise enough to pay for a care nurse for an entire year for our local charity Shooting Star Chase, which provides invaluable hospice care for babies and children with life-limiting conditions.
