Its now been two years since I last ran anything approaching a 10k. And its been three years since Claire ran the great Manchester Run - this will be her first since Daisy was born. We've both dusted off our trainers and tried desperately to get our training in around work and parenting.</p> <p>Alzheimer's is a terrible affliction, not just for the sufferer, but for the family of the sufferer as well. We've seen the effects first-hand, as my Grandad was a sufferer, and my family suffered with him.
