Having recently completed 10 years in the same job, it seemed like a good idea to get out of BlackBerry range, and join a motorcycle expedition through West Africa.  “This is not a holiday” states the expedition leader, “it is a challenge”.  As such, it also seems like a good opportunity to raise some money for charity, specifically Papua Partners (www.papuapartners.org), a charity committed to transforming lives in West Papua through tackling the causes and consequences of poverty and social injustice.

So from 22 January 2010, I’ll be riding 4000 miles through The Gambia, Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Togo and Benin, and with your help will also be raising some money to support Papua Partners. I know that post-Christmas is not a good time to ask for money, but please dig deep and donate now!
