Virgin London Marathon 2010 · 25 April 2010 ·

DEBRA is the national charity that supports individuals and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) – a painful genetic skin blistering condition which, in the worst cases, can be fatal. We fund pioneering research and provide care and support to individuals and families living with EB.

Story

Thanks for all your support, I stunned myself by turning in a virtually perfectly paced run with steady even 5k times to finish in 3 hours 53 minutes and 44 seconds (only six minutes off my best time, when I was a lot younger). So finished 9095 places behind the winner, but then he had a 2 minute head start so got ahead of the crowds!

Weather was kind to runners with rain and cloud for the first two and a half hours so it didn't end up as hot as feared, especially after Saturday was the hottest day of the year.

Little toe is not a pretty sight, legs don't like bending to go down stairs, but otherwise I feel fine, maybe this training stuff is over-rated! Time for a good long break until 2012!
