Story
Two years ago our youngest daughter Suzanne was struck down with bacterial meningitus. After feeling tired and listless for a couple of weeks and several visits to the doctor, she succumbed to the illness. However, it was fortuitous that the morning she woke up feeling ill Peter and I had not left for work and were able to be there for her.We witnessed her rapid deterioration and within four hours she was critically ill in hospital and in a coma. The prompt action of the medics and the powerful concoction of anti biotics saved our daughter and fortunately she has suffered no side effects.
We are eternally grateful to the staff at Blackpool Victoria Hospital and would like to do as much as possible to help raise money for research into a vaccine for meningitus B. Other children and adults have not been as lucky. Please support Peter in his attempt to complete the London Marathon and raise money for this worthwhile cause.
Thank you Celia, Peter, Nicholas, Helen and Suzanne Gibson.
