Manchester Bogle 2017 · 10 March 2017
Hi, my name is Peter Herbert, and I am taking part in a 24 hour - 55 mile walk called the Manchester Bogle, organised by the University of Manchester RAG (Raise and Give). I took part in the walk in my first year of university, and fell short of the mark at mile 50! This year, I really want to try again, and hopefully make the full distance.
I am raising money for the mental health charity Mind, which does fantastic work in providing support and raising awareness for people across the UK who suffer with mental health problems. Mental health is an issue that affects so many people: directly or indirectly; whether you realise it or not. Some of my closest friends and family members have suffered with mental health problems over the years. Knowing that there is support for them, and information for those around them, is really important and personally very reassuring. Donating money to Mind is really worthwhile, at a time when mental health in the UK is vitally in need of support from everyone.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
