I am off to to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in , in order to raise much needed funds for the Railway Children Charity.

The actual trek will take 8 days starting in the rainforests of Lemosho Glades and heads upwards to Shira Plateau. The push for the snow capped summit starts in the moonlight with the aim of reaching the highest point, in time for the sunrise. You can find further details on the expedition on the charity challenge website.

In addition to the physical challenge I am also looking to raise a minimum of £5,000 for the Railway Children Charity which is a challenge in itself! The charity does fantastic work around the world by helping and changing the lives of distressed children with a particular aim of stopping a runaway child becoming a street child.
