Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My dad recently passed away after suffering from acute pancreatitis. Although he was a fit, strong man this illness was too severe for him to battle. There are about 12,000 new cases of acute pancreatitis in the UK every year and almost 1,000 people will die from the disease. There are no drugs available to treat pancreatitis. Surgery, to remove the damaged parts of the pancreas, is often the only treatment option. Unfortunately, my dad was too ill for surgery. Please help me raise funds to donate to the Core Charity (www.corecharity.org.uk/About-us) to find new treatments and cures for acute pancreatitis so that more people can be helped in combating this disease.
I
will be running in the team event of the 2010 London Triathlon on the 7th
August and I am determined to beat my time last year without going as red in the
