<p>'Not again', I hear you sigh. Yes, marathon number 9 is just around the corner in New York City.</p>
<p>I have now raised over £25,000 for various charities along the way and worn out almost as many training shoes. This time I am supporting a new charity which I hope gets your attention.</p>
<p>Of course <span style="color: #000000;">every</span> charity is a good cause and in these times of austerity it makes it extra diffciult for charities to receive the support they need.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-layout-grid-align: none;"><strong><span style="font-family: &quot;Courier New&quot;; font-size: 10pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">The Andrew Grene Foundation (AGF) is a charity dedicated to supporting the people of Haiti through education, loans and building projects.</span></strong></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-layout-grid-align: none;"><strong><span style="font-family: &quot;Courier New&quot;; font-size: 10pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-US;">In a country where 90 per cent of the population is unemployed, AGF provide microloans to help women establish subsistence businesses and provide for their children. AGF has just built a new school in Port-au-Prince, where an estimated 80% of the schools previously in operation had been destroyed in the catastrophic earthquake of 2010. AGF seek to aid a land ravaged by years of natural disaster and political upheaval.</span></strong></p>
