This is a plea to support the Robbie the robot campaign at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.

Robbie the robot is proving his worth as a valuable member of the Royal Berkshire Hospital offering exceptional advances in Prostate cancer services.

With benefits including reduced blood loss, less pain, a reduction in infection rates and significantly shortened hospital stays it is clear to see why the RBH are keen to keep Robbie operating in our Local area.

In order to continue treating our families and Friends within the Thames Valley area we need to raise £1.2 million over the next three years.

To make this possible members of the Urology Department at the RBH alongside their families and friends are running the 13 miles that is the Reading Half Marathon on the 21 March 2010. Participants include 3 Urology consultants and the forth coming Chief executive of the Royal Berkshire Hospital

We are asking for your generosity to fund Robbie’s permanent stay the Royal Berkshire Hospital by digging deep into your pockets.

Please give Robbie the opportunity to continue his exceptional work in this cutting edge surgery and allow us to improve the quality of life for patients with prostate cancer.

Thank you for your time, support and generosity.
