I have been running for several years to satisfy my masochistic streak, occasionally in organised events but more often to maintain my own sanity. I don't often do these things for charity, but the Architects' Benevolent Fund are an important organisation, looking after those who fall by the wayside in a profession notoriously bad at keeping its house in order.

I'm not a competitive person, but I am always looking to pass the next milestone and beat my best time. I did the Paris marathon in 3 hours and 8 minutes, three years ago so I will be trying to beat that.
