Story
On Sunday 7th July, I will be taking part in the Liverpool-Chester-Liverpool bike ride. I'm doing the 100 mile route, which starts in Liverpool, goes through the Birkenhead tunnel, down the Wirral to Chester, around Delamere Forest and back again. The ride will take between 6 and 7 hours, and if I'm too slow they'll have closed the tunnel by the time I get back, so I've also got to beat the clock!
I am raising money for Christians Against Poverty - CAP (registered charity number 1097217). CAP works to lift people out of debt and poverty by providing a free debt help service and money management courses. The charity has won many awards, and has been praised by Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis for the work they do.
The church I attend has recently set up a CAP debt centre, and is very busy with many clients in need of help. I am also cycling with my brother in law, David, whose sister works as a CAP debt adviser.
