I am taking part in the Great South Run, taking place in Portsmouth on Sunday 25th October 2009. This is a ten mile run over a fast flat course around the Portsmouth Harbour and Southsea area.
My entry in this event was secured by paying a small fee to the DELTA charity, now that I am running for them I would like to raise as much money as possible for them in the short time remaining.
DELTA is a national charity that supports and develops the Natural Aural Approach to the education of profoundly and severely deaf children. The vast majority of these children can learn to listen and talk if given the right technical aids and support. DELTA believes that all parents of deaf children should be given this option for their children.
