Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I don't normally do things like this, but earlier this year (just after New Year in fact) a great friend of mine, and the person responsible for brining us all to Australia, Tom, tragically and suddenly lost his daughter, Chloe, to an AVM (Arteriovenus Malformation) bleed on her brain. Chloe was only 23 and was on her way to work in London when she felt unwell and was admitted to hospital. I can't imagine how Tom, Sue and young Tommy felt on that 24 hour journey from Perth to London to be with her as the staff at the National Hospital in London tried to save her.
Tom has chosen to run the Perth City to Surf 12k on Sunday August 30th to raise money for the National Brain Appeal, and was asking for donations. I thought to myself, 'why not not do it too, and see if I can raise a few quid to support his cause'.
So I asked Tom what he thought, and he said he would be over the moon if I could drum up some support. So I ask all of my friends, please show your support for me and my good friend, as we do our 12k in honour of his daughter.
I hope to do it in under 60 mins. Tom is going for 70 mins.
I thank you all in advance for your support.
Pete.
