London Flora Marath 2007

When you decide to run the London marathon, make sure it’s the hottest one ever! This is one of the toughest things I’ve ever done. Especially when my legs turn into cement around the 21 mile mark. And if it wasn’t for the hoard of young ladies, screaming, “Come on Barks” I might not of made it. Also my mates, who appeared at the 23 mile mark, after dragging themselves away from the beer garden help me raise the bar, to push on home. The sight of Buckingham palace spurred me to over take Scooby doo and spider man, and finish strongly. Not only did I beat these 2 famous characters, I also left  Hiley Gabriel Selassie for dead.

My Time 3hrs 53Mins. Will I ever do this again maybe if an extra hot marathon is predicted for about 10 years time!
