Thanks for taking the time to visit my page.

One Sunday late in April, for the last 20 year or so, I have been inspired by the masses taking part in the London Marathon.  Usually, this inspiration lasts probably until the following day.  This year, however, is different!

OK, so maybe I havent had running shoes on since my youth.  Maybe my lack of any form of physical exercise during my entire adult life doesnt stand me in good stead.  Maybe the fact its the week before Christmas, and my training has only been underway for a couple of weeks wont help.  Sometimes, though, challenges come along that you know, however unlikely it is, that you wont fail.

April 2010 UPDATE:  Well, its been and gone.  26 and a bit tortuous miles, horrendous knee pain and feet that felt as heavy as baby elephants. 5 hours and 7 minutes after I started, I achieved my goal of finishing.  OK, it wasn't as fast as I planned, but I achieved a long held personal ambition, and helped RTCW towards their goal of supporting seriously ill children achieve their dreams.

Just coz its over,. doesn't mean you can't contribute.  Please feel free to donate what you can to support my cause.

Cheers

Pete
