<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";"><span style="font-size: small;">The seven volumes of Alfred Wainwright’s ‘Pictorial Guide to the Lakeland Fells” contain descriptions of 214 fells, collectively known as “The Wainwrights”. I climbed Scafell Pike, my first Wainwright, in May 2005. March 28th 2011 found me and a group of friends at the top of Starling Dodd, as I completed all 214 Wainwrights.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";"><span style="font-size: small;">To celebrate, I am raising money for <strong>The Lake District Search and Mountain Rescue Association</strong> – an organisation that (so far) I have never had to use, but whose existence is a great reassurance.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt;"><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif";"><span style="font-size: small;">Many people think that mountain rescue is government funded, but it is entirely dependent on donations, so I hope that you will agree that this is a worthy cause and give generously.</span></span></p>
