My story
After going to Lourdes with HCPT Groups 551 & 552 in October for the last four years, I have decided I have to try the Easter pilgrimage as well. HCPT Group 14 is based in my own parish of St John the Baptist, Purley and we need to raise £5,250 to take seven disabled children to Lourdes at Easter 2012.
I will be walking 50km around Lourdes over the weekend of 11/12 February 2012 which takes in the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. The average temperature in that area of the Pyrenees at that time of year is 5C but it will likely be much colder.

HCPT - The Pilgrimage Trust

HCPT takes thousands of children with disabilities or special needs on a pilgrimage holiday to Lourdes in France. The children travel in small family-style groups with experienced volunteer helpers, doctors, nurses and chaplains. The Trust has a house in the mountains outside Lourdes for people of all ages with disabilities.
