Story
Alright everybody.
Basically, through an organisation at uni, I'm going to skydive to raise money for charity. I saw the advert and thought what the hell, but since I mentioned that I might do it to people, I feel like I've got to carry through with it, no matter what my mind keeps telling me.
It will be a tandem jump from 12,000 ft up, reaching speeds of over 120mph, which is pretty high and fast. I'll just point out now that I'm not very good with heights and I cling on for dear life on rollercoasters, so this could be interesting.
I'm going to raise money for The East Cheshire Hospice. If you haven't heard of it, the East Cheshire Hospice is an organisation which cares for people suffering from life-limiting illness for which there is no cure, aiming to help them and their families through this difficult period of there life. The problem is that the Hospice receives less then 23% of its necessary funding to cover its costs, so is reliant on fundraising. That's where a plane, a ridiculous height and I come into play.
So please donate money to this really good cause. All of the money which you donate will go straight to the East Cheshire Hospice, which is such a great cause. Also, remember to tick the box about Gift Aid, which allows the charity to get even more money when you just give the same (it's something to do with tax).
Thanks a lot for your time.
PS If you want to read more about the work done by the East Cheshire Hospice, visit their website at http://eastcheshirehospice.org.uk/ech/page.php?2
