17/02/2010 - Final Preparations!
Dear all,
Just a quick message to say a big thank you to all of you who have donated so generously, both on this site and also offline. My special thanks go to all at The Ashburnham Arms, Birchwood Park Golf & Leisure Club and St.Peter's RC Primary School, who have pulled out all the stops to help me towards my £3000 target.
If you haven't yet donated then you still can, either to me directly, or on this Justgiving page...
One week till I set off! I'm feeling fit - Bring it on!
Peter

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Since retiring from teaching in 2006 I’ve never been busier. In November 2008 I took part in and completed The Death Valley Cycle Challenge, which raised £43,000 for The Mines Advisory Group (MAG) a charity which clears land mines from war torn countries. It was such a fantastic experience I decided to volunteer for another cycle challenge, but this time in Vietnam, finishing in Cambodia, covering approximately 300 miles in 5 days. This challenge is made all the more meaningful since it takes place in areas still plagued by millions of unexploded devices. We will also meet teams of local people who bravely carry out the clearance of these devices. Just £10 is sufficient to clear two mines. My target is to raise £3000 by the end of February 2010.
Your support and generosity will help save many lives, please help if you can.
