Story
3 Peaks Challenge - 31st July 2010!
Petmeds Staff and some friends are raising funds for Rain Rescue by attempting (and finishing!) the famous 24-hour 3 Peaks Challenge on the 31st July 2010. The 3 Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks, respectively, in England, Wales and Scotland, within 24 hours.
We're scaling these mountains to help Rain Rescue climb theirs. Rain Rescue is a small charity who do lots of great work in rescuing animals from pounds across the UK, saving the lives of many which would otherwise be put to sleep.
The 3 Peaks are:
- Snowdon,
in Wales (1085m) (4 hours walking)
- Scafell
Pike, in England (978m) (4 hours walking)
- Ben
Nevis, in Scotland (1344m) (5 hours walking)
We will be walking a total of 26 miles in distance up and down hills while also having to drive for approx 11 hours between the mountains to complete the challenge.
