When You Wish Upon a Star has a simple mission: to grant the Wishes of children living with a life threatening illness. Wishes have the power to transform the lives of children and families. Since 1990, we have proudly granted over 19,000 Wishes across the UK. We'd love you to be part of the magic!

Story

Hi. Thanks for visting my justgiving page.

This year on the 4th August I'm riding the London Ride 100 mile cycle sportive. This will be a very hard and challenging test as it is the longest and most physical sportive I will have ever ridden. The course is following the actual Olympic Road Race route that was ridden last year by Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish.

My focus to complete this event has been to raise money for a local charity, When you wish upon a Star. The charity are a  small organisation whose primary aim is to grant the wishes of children between the ages of 2 - 16 years old suffering from life threatening illnesses. Wishes are varied and far reaching. For some it is a trip to Disneyland, for others it is the chance to get up close to a favourite pop star or sporting hero.

I'm aiming to raise a £1000 which would be enough to ensure that a child can visit Santa in lapland this year.

Please visit www.whenyouwishuponastar.org.uk to read about some of the wishes that the charity grants.

Thanks for reading and please dig deep.
