2009 Asics Liverpool 10km · 4 October 2009 ·

St Joseph's Hospice in Thornton, Merseyside, opened its doors in 1974 and has held a special place in the heart of our community ever since. Today, the hospice offers high-quality, professional end of life nursing care and family support services within a peaceful woodland environment.

Story

With the like so of Zola Budd, Kriss Akabusi and Steve Cram being amongst my all time hero’s I’ve decided to run the Asics 10k Run on October 4th  2009. So that I can give myself some additional motivation I shall be raising money for St. Joseph’s hospice based in Thornton, Liverpool. St. Joseph’s, or ‘Jospice’ to those in the cool gang, is a 24 hour in-patient care with particular expertise in caring for long term degenerative or disabling conditions as well as end of life care.  Jospice kindly took care of my Grandfather in his final months providing an excellent  service and support to my family for which we are always grateful. As a self funding and charitable operation Jospice relies on donations and fundraising events to ensure it can continue its good work so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Phil
