Story
Yes its that time of year again. I'm pushing my aged carcass to complete another endurance event for Macmillan. This time its as a part of the npower team cycling from London to Paris - about 75 miles per day for three days.
In the last two years I have rowed Lake Windermere end to end and back (21 miles).: Cycled coast to coast from Whitehaven in Cumbria to Sunderland; and done the Prudential 100 mile cycle ride around London so you would think I would know better.
Thing is I am a bit of an idiot about these things and have not had huge opportunity to train but I am completely determined to complete the task though I know it will hurt. Five litre tub of Assos Chamois cream at least will be required.
My training is primarily long sessions on my Wahoo Kickr tribe trainer to get legs and bum in some sort of shape. Proper bike time is proving hard to fit in, but that was true of my previous efforts so hopefully all will be OK! Anyone who has regularly done 90 minutes hard work on a turbo will know its no easy route.
Anyway - do please support my ride. npower matches your donations £ for £ and if you gift aid then its worth even more.
Best wishes
Phil
