I have entered the Royal Parks Half Marathon on Sunday 11th October 2009. A big day not only for the fact I have not donned the running shoes for 8 years, but it is my 40th on this day too! Only 3 weeks into the training - has been tough but determined to lose a bit of weight / get a tad fitter and raise money for a good cause close to my heart.

I am raising money for 'STEPS' - a small national charity supporting children and adults affected by a lower limb condition such as clubfoot or a hip condition. There Mission statement - to drive forward the provision of quality support and information to empower everyone affected by lower limb conditions.

They were an invaluable source of information and support to me when my twin boys Tom & Ben were born with Talipes (clubfoot) in 1996. They had there feet corrected over a series of operations whilst they were young and 'STEPS' provided great support and advice along the way. Time for me to give something in return.
